The Reprisal Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Newport Historical Society, the New Hampshire Sons of the American Revolution, and the American Friends of Lafayette invite you to join us for General Lafayette’s arrival in Newport, 200 years to the day of his June 27, 1825 visit. The program will include:

Arrival of General Lafayette by horse-drawn carriage, escorted by the New Hampshire SAR

Welcome remarks by Laura McCrillis Kessler

A re-enactment of the speech welcoming Lafayette and Lafayette’s reply

Lafayette addresses the citizens of Newport

Lafayette mingles with the citizenry and is available for photo opportunities
