Magical History Tour | Saturday, June 6, 2026

Dust off the winter chill and join us for the 2026 season of our ‘Magical History Tour’! We’re kicking things off Saturday, June 6th.

We also plan to have tours scheduled for the following dates if you cannot make it on June 6th

  • Saturday, August 8 (Class of 1971 – Ideal for visiting alumni!) 
  • Saturday, October 17
  • Saturday, November 7

The Tour begins at the Historical Society Museum on Central Street at 10 AM and continues south to Pollards Mills stopping for a tour of the Little Red Schoolhouse with information provided by the Reprisal Chapter of the DAR. The tour continues to Unity Road, the oldest section of Newport, following Pine Street to North Newport, through the Corbin Covered Bridge and ending at the Museum.

The Tour is narrated covering interesting points along the way.

Follow along with your personal tour book, featuring rare vintage photographs that bring Newport’s past back to life right before your eyes.

Seating is limited to 12 people. The Tour takes about two hours and is free; however, donations are accepted.
